Child Protection Policy

The child protection co-ordinator is Diane Legge, Head of Nursery.

In Diane’s absence report to the Team Leaders, Kelly Lennox & Marie McIntosh.

We have a clear Child Protection Policy which we are duty bound

to follow.

If a child or parent

  • Shares information with staff
  • Displays unusual behaviours
  • Or the content of a child’s drawing or play causes concern

Should any member of staff have concerns regarding the Welfare & Safety of any child or adult they must report these concerns to the Head of Nursery or Team Leader.  The Head or Team Leader will decide if there are grounds for concern. The Head or Team Leader may discuss their concerns with you. If appropriate the relevant agencies will be notified for example, Health Visitor / Social Services / Police Scotland.
